I met with the surgeon today who is going to be removing the cyst from my ovary. He confirmed it is the size of a tennis ball and totally collapsing my ovary, rendering it pretty useless at this point.
While the robot is in there, he will remove any endometriosis blood (not sure of the correct term) and will clear my tubes of any debris. I will find out tomorrow what the surgery date will be. He did say he wants me out of work for two weeks! But did say that I can go back to work after a week since I sit most of the time.
Anyone have a laparoscopic surgery? If so, how did it go?
Re: Update to my surgery update....
I needed a full week if recovery but I also have a physical job, week 2 I returned on about 1/2 speed. You are going to be very uncomfortable, but I didn't have pain that needed oxycodone but they gave me a lot if that....just plan on resting a lot don't rush it. You will have 2 maybe 3 little cuts and you will think you can do a lot, its easy to forget how much mucking about they do, your organs will be scraped prodded and moved. You will need rest.
It will be fine : plan on rest!
