Men Fashion help

DH needs some new threads. He's dressed nice for work, but his street clothes are a little questionable at times. He's also lost some weight recently, so a lot of his clothes are too big. Where does YHs/SOs shop? Or if you're a guy, where do you shop?

Re: Men Fashion help

  • I like Express.  Macy's is okay too.

My hubby rarely shops for casual clothes. I like Banana Republic for men's clothing. Also Gap.

Neither does mine. Most of his clothes are 10 or more yrs old, if they aren't too big on him.

DH goes to express for his button ups and bowties. Casual clothes like weekend clothes, honestly we just buy tshirts and casual button ups and stuff from Target since there are so many options. Sweaters from Banana Republic. Jeans from Lucky brand and HM.

    I don't see the issue here. ;)

Honestly I've been frustrated lately attempting to shop. If you're not willing to pay $50+ for a shirt, options can be limited and frustrating. Macy's is pretty decent for semi-casual weekend wear and Date Night clothes. Really though, nights and weekends at home, it's all about the athletic shorts from Target and 10 year old T-shirts. Oh and Hoodies. Glorious Hoodies.

Others mentioned express; the fit does not work for my build at all. They definitely run a bit on the slim side.

DH loves him some hoodies. He's in them 90 percent of the time when he's not working. Express probably wouldn't work for DH's body type either.

They probably would have worked for him before he started doing MMA and got all jacked.

Father's Day definitely is a good time for sales for shirt sales.

I also feel like I'm in a frustrating middle ground where I can't commit to wearing boring polo shirts on the weekends (plus I don't care for polos that much) but I'm really too old for a lot of Young Men's clothes. FWP.

  • DH lives in hoodies too.

He wears casual shorts from the Gap with athletic tees and a hoodie.

Jacked he's not, but he is bootylicious. Uh oh uh oh, na na na. He won't wear polos either, unless it's casual day at work.

  • My DH doesn't shop often. He usually goes to Tommy Hilfingher, Gap, or department stores like Macy's. He usually wears button downs or polos with cargos.

  • This thread is the best ever. It's like the blind leading the blind. :)

Should we XP it to the Dad board and see if anyone there is more help?

You can post it there if you want.  I know what I like in men's fashion, but DH isn't as keen on fashion as I am.  Although, somehow he can choose fashion for me wonderfully (he bought me two super cute dresses without my knowledge for Mother's Day).

    LOL.

LD, I don't know how to dress my husband, and he really doesn't know how to dress himself.  If you're the fashion guru, help a girl out!

I'm NOT a guru! I know how to wear a suit, but hate suits for anything but weddings and job interviews. By "blind leading the blind" I was including myself ;)
