Baby showers are a very strong bone of contention with a lot of people, just like circumcision, vaccines, bf vs. ff.....they will always be heated conversations. LOL but they are entertaining!!!

I don't get why people care so much about who hosts a baby shower...I doubt the people who care so much are invited, as they don't know them. My friend has had showers for all three of her children and I didn't realize this was not okay...I just thought it was nice to get together and play silly games and eat snacks and cake. But we're not fancy here haha. I don't see why it's not okay to have a party celebrating the baby and playing silly games, especially if its presents optional. I think it's hilarious how upset people get about an event they aren't invited to being socially acceptable.

You should!! I'm from Dec 13 and I am so fed up with their comments. When you are the person they are attacking it's no fun. It's entertaining to watch them attack others but when it's you that gets attacked it gets really irritating! A bunch of b!tvhy bullies.

I remember I got scared and ran off The Knot Forums after getting slammed on there.....lol Then I realized these boards are just full of snark as they call it and you gotta roll with the punches. As your board gets further along hormones should simmer down and it should be more peaceful... but also can get boring then you start stalking other boards for the fix....lol

Hrm...the Dec board doesn't seem to be the problem in that situation. Lolz and Chill are not really appropriate for the tone of that thread. And fighting about people correcting inaccurate assumptions instead of shutting the hell up and focusing on the tragedy at hand really didnt do you any favors either, Marchmellow. Not getting any sympathy here about the quote Attack.
