Aygestin followed by Clomid? Anyone?

Hello all, 

I'm new here! Hope to meet some friends and learn a few things.  

I'm abt to start taking Aygestin today to get AF going, followed by my first cycle of Clomid. Feeling nervous for some reason, so any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated!

For now, I'm under the care of my OB/GYN. New to the whole IF process. 

I've been TTC for several months now. My periods are irregular, and I have had CD3 and CD21 testing done, only to find out that I have very low progesterone. 

I now have to start Aygestin, followed by Clomid on CD5-9 for atleast 3 cycles. If that doesn't work, then I'll be referred to a RE.

NariaDreaming, I had my last miscarriage January of last year. I visited two different OB/GYNs, got checked out, and everything seemed fine. My cycles were also fine up until a few months afterwards, then totally disappearing for 2-3 months at a time. I have had irregular periods since I can remember, so this may just be a hormone issue.  

We have been TTC for almost 9 months now (in June it will be). I haven't been checking my BBT, but I have been using OPK and other than the faintest of lines, there is nothing else to suggest that I am actually ovulating. 

Sorry, I previously forgot to add that my Doc actually will be monitoring me through ultrasound while I'm on Clomid. I don't have any health insurance at the moment, so I would prefer to go through the basics with an OB/GYN first before moving onto a visit with a RE.

I did receive proper clomid monitoring through my Ob-gyn. CD#3 BW and US's. But she did do the HSG and SA before starting any treatments (along with a million other tests).

I agree that even if you stay with your OB, and he/she does do ALL the proper monitoring, you still need the HSG first... and probaby a SA just in case. My DH has 2 children previously, and his SA was low.
