Was anyone sick when LO was born?

I've had a sore throat for the last few days, and now DH and DD are complaining of sore throats, too. I've been sick twice during this pregnancy, for 11 days each time. I'm 36 weeks, so if I'm sick for 11 days...I'm kind of worried. I don't want to infect my LO with RSV or something the second s/he hits the real world, you know? TIA!

I got a cold about a week and a half before DS was born and DH got it from me a few days after I came down with it. By delivery day, DH's had turned into a sinus infection and I just had a runny nose and a cough left. DS has not been sick at all. If you plan on breast feeding immediately, those nutrients and antioxidants will help

I was sick for 3 straight weeks and only recovered a few days before delivery. But, we got home the first night and DS1 had a 104 fever, and then I had a fever and pink eye (thankfully DS2 didn't catch anything). Since then, DS1, DH, and I have had horrible coughs, colds, and respiratory crap. DS2 did just catch the bad cough and has had it for about 2 weeks now. It sucks and obviously we do everything to prevent it, but sometimes they will get sick. Try not to worry too much about it, especially since you still have some time before LO gets here.

Yes I was so sick that I thought when I show up to be induced they will for sure turn me around. I was supposed to be induced on a Saturday (39 weeks) and they put me on steroids the Tuesday prior to that. Well I got the worst cold ever that Wednesday. I was in bed for 3 straight days and showed up to the hospital looking pretty bad. They still went ahead with the delivery. Somehow right after the delivery I felt fine and forgot that I had a cold!

Yes maam! I battled a sinus infection for the last 5 months of pregnancy.  Just when it was almost gone my prescription meds would run out and it would come back after a few weeks.  They postponed my induction for a week while my dr pumped strong meds into me bc I had a bone racking cough that would have killed.  Well it's a good thing we waited a week bc my induction turned c-section and I still had the cough but the sinus infection was mostly gone.  Hugging a pillow didn't help with my cough and the pain at all.
