DS is walking but sometimes gets frustrated and will drop to his Knees and crawl..I guess he realizes it quicker to get to what he wants....all he wants to do now is walk...
DS will only walk if holding onto someone else's hands with both his hands. He has taken a few steps holding onto just one hand if he's near furniture or banisters, and he will cruise on furniture a little bit. Mostly he still crawls to get around.
Anja took her first real steps last week. She'll walk 25 steps at a time, but it's only with prompting. She hasn't recognized that walking will get her where she wants to be faster yet. She's an excellent crawler.

Elise is running around like a crazy midget. About a month ago it was the same as you op, when she had to get somewhere fast she resorted to crawling. Now she never crawls. It's so cute to see someone so tiny be so fast!
We're just crawling here and she can stand for maybe 1-2 seconds no a rare occasion. We just started crawling a month ago so walking will probably take some time. She can stand on her feet though against the table or couch.
Parker is trying to run now too! He's gotten pretty good at walking, it's amazing to watch! He used to just be able to walk in a straight direction, but now he's turning in circles and going from side to side! He still drunk walks though, it's hilarious!

He is doing so well with walking. He was only taking a few steps then falling on his tush. Then this weekend it's like he really figured it out! He is able to walk and stop without falling. He was even able to walk across the room and turn around without falling today!
He also can climb stairs. He is so proud of himself when he does this.
Add us to the just crawling/cruising club. He does crawl "in 4 wheel drive" with his legs straight. He stands independently as well. He is really cautious. I think it'll be a while.

This. She is also standing alone for a couple seconds at a time
DD is still just crawling. She has only been crawling for about a month. She can use our bottom step to push herself up to standing and she is starting to try to pull up. I think it's going to be quite some time before she walks.

This is where DS is too. He's also super cautious and not daring enough to let go.
Jack can crawl quickly, pull himself up to standing easily, and has cruised a little around furniture. He walks well when we hold his hands, but he does so on his toes. He also almost always pulls himself onto his toes as well. I hope it doesn't end up being a problem. No independent standing.
DD only started crawling about a month ago, and it is sort of a funny little crawl. It's more like a half crawl, half scoot. She's pulling up on furniture and has started cruising. She can take a few steps if you are holding both hands. No independent standing.
DS didn't walk until 15 months, so I'll be surprised if she's walking any time soon.

DD crawls, pulls up on furniture and cruises. No independent standing yet. She just figured out how to sit back down from standing, which is a huge improvement from either crying because she couldn't sit down or crying because she let go and sat down too hard
DS took his first steps about 4 weeks ago. Now he prefers walking to crawling and can push himself back to standing after a trip with no support. He's getting faster and I think we may be headed towards running soon. I love it! Now that he's upright, he no longer stops to try and eat every little speck of anything on the floor.
DS started crawling in early April and within days was pulling himself up to standing and then cruising along the furniture. He is starting to take tentative steps toward us, but has not stood independently or attempted to take a step without holding onto someone or something. He crawled up the stairs at my MIL's over the weekend.
I totally expected him to be walking by now - DH, my stepson, and I were all walking at 9 months. Oh well - kids have their own agenda!
DD has been walking for about 3 weeks now. In the past week she has learned how to stand from a sitting position (without pulling up on anything). She is just now getting to the point where she'd rather walk than crawl places.
DS has been crawling and pulling up on things since about 6 months but he's still not walking and doesn't seem like he is going to soon. He's crawling well over and under things, climbing stairs, climbs up on furniture, does a funny scoot when he wants to get around and carry something at the same time. He stands independently and cruises quickly from item to item or with his block cart but no walking. I thought he'd try a bit since his knees are scraped and bruised from the playground as its finally nice enough to get out. But no, he just crawls on his hands and feet when his knees get sore! His movement right now is really fun so I am in no rush for things to change.
DD kind of did things a little out of order..... She was army crawling first, then she was walking holding onto hands, furnitures or walls, then she started crawling on all fours and now two weeks ago she took a few steps without help. Tonight she was walking from hubby and I with no help and we were 3-4 feet apart

Charlotte walks a lot, but only if she can keep at least one hand on us or the furniture. If I try to get her to walk to me where there's nothing for her to hold on to, she'll drop to the floor and crawl to me. She has stood without holding on to anything for a few seconds at a time though! She's been practicing that a lot lately.

Renee can crawl really well and she is also great at standing unassisted. She tries to take a few steps, but it always ends in a face plant. Hopefully we get there soon!
