Double stroller?

Is it worth having one? LO will be around2 1/2 when new LO is born. Thing is, even right now, she is getting at that stage where she hates riding in the carriage. If we are out for long periods of time, at some point, we have to take her out and let her walk holding her hand or she'll get really pissed. She's good with walking with us, but does like to bend down to pick up random stuff off the floor or try to walk in the opposite direction. I was looking into a Britax, but we really don't have a couple of hundred dollars to drop on a new stroller. We are going to use LO's car seat for the new baby and planned on using that stroller too, though it's soo heavy and I hated using it. I'm thinking too, the first few months I don't see myself going out by myself without DH, so one of us could just push the carriage and the other walk with older LO. I just don't want to waste money on something we will never use or have current LO having meltdowns when I try to put her in. I can't see her even riding in her carriage much longer.

Do you wear baby in a carrier? That would give you the option of letting your toddler ride in the stroller when needed. I don't think you need a double, particularly if you have a good baby carrier.

get the sit and stand, you can put the infant carrier in there and she can stand. My 2 1/2 year old is lazy and likes the stroller, so we got the city mini double

We bought a new, nice double stroller and never used it. My DD was just about 2 when LO was born and she always wanted to walk and it then was a pain to take stroller everywhere and she didn't want to sit in it. I would advise craigslist for a cheaper one so if you don't end up using it your not out a ton of money.

We have the sit n stand and love it!  Bc my dd has the ability to get off and get on at will.  She "thinks" she has more freedom and she actually likes being close to her brother.  I love this style stroller

My DD hated riding in the stroller and always walked everywhere so I didn't think we would get a double. However I quickly learned that when I was out alone I needed them both safely strapped in because I couldnt leave dd2 to go chasing dd1. DD1 now knows that if she wants to go to the park and baby sister is coming with it is double stroller or we don't go. Then times someone is taking just her she can rise her bike or walk.

Sit and stand works great for a lot of my friends but I really really like my city mini.
