Working Moms

Joining you...

Hi all!  DS is just shy of 10 weeks old and I will be going back to work on Monday, full-time.  Today I had an all day retreat for this leadership program that I am doing, so I dropped DS off at his in-home daycare for his very first full day there!  I took him for a half day earlier in the week so today was not quite as difficult.

I am grateful that we have found an in-home daycare that we are comfortable with, and I swear this woman is like the baby whisperer!  DS is generally fussy and never naps for me. In his day and a half there, he has taken several naps and she said he hasn't been fussy at all!

Did anyone else's LO act different when at daycare?  I'm trying to not let it hurt my feelings, but I can't help but feel a little bit bummed out that my own son does better for a stranger than for me!  Haha!

I am really looking forward to getting back to work on Monday, as I have a job that I really enjoy.  I just hope I still feel that way after getting back into the swing of things.

    Welcome!

DC is awesome getting LO's on a schedule. Follow their lead and embrace it.

  • Lets be honest, her job is kids, she need them to nap so she will nap them to handle the other kids. At 10 weeks old I was doing eat play sleep so the baby was back to sleep every 2 hours or less. Perhaps try that? My daycare naps them for 2 hours in the afternoon, can't wait to see that happen!
  • Daycare Providers are pretty much magic at getting kids to get on a schedule. It is how daycare works...and it will work at home eventually, too. Have a great first week back!
