I have been putting my almost 3 week old in a crib every night since bringing her home. It hasn't gone very well. She wakes every hour, so literally, I feed her, put her back in her crib, then I start to fall asleep and she's up crying.
This week, After my fiance gets up for workI'm on maternity leave, I have been just keeping her in our bed with me. She will sleep for about 3 hours, and I do too!
Before this week, once it's 6am, I go downstairs with her to feed and we would take a nap on the couch together until about 830am.
I am wondering if at this age if she will come to expect to sleep with me, or what? It's the only way I can get some sleep.
Re: Co sleeping
Your baby is used to being INSIDE your body, so of course she wants to be near you!

That is one page with some good guidelines. I firmly believe that safe co-sleeping is safer than a crib, and leads to better adjusted kids/happier babies.
I have co-slept with my 2.5 year old since he was born. He is a fairly good sleeper and importantly, he isn't afraid at bedtime. He tucks right in and knows his dad and I will be in later. Since he was old enough to crawl, he's been able to climb out of bed on his own, so he doesn't feel trapped. I feel that cribs are really isolating and biologically, babies are made to sleep with their mamas!
Also, FWIW, I think that we could have transitioned him to his own room by now IF that was our goal. He is still in our room because everyone is happy that way.
Expecting our next baby any day now and he will bedshare with us as well.
