My cat likes to eat way too fast and then throw it all up. Last night, he decided to purge himself of entire can of Fancy Feast under the table while DDs were getting dinner. I let DH's dog eat it because he got there first and I didn't feel like cleaning it all up.

I did, however, clean the area after he was done.

My supervisor and fellow funeral director resigned with basically no notice Monday. That leaves 3 directors and we have handled arrangements for over 35 deceased already in May.

I went on an interview Wednesday after finding out about a job opportunity and I got it. I am resigning today. That leaves two funeral directors. The job needs me to start asap and I can only give two weeks notice. I would have liked to give more.

I feel terrible leaving when we are already in such bad shape. But the new job is the best of the best health and dental insurance and almost double what I make now. I couldn't say no.

I am terrified of walking into work this morning.

We've joked with SD for years we plan to sell her when she turns 12, because we don't want a teenage girl. Now we will have two. Good thing they won't be teens in the same home at the same time, since there is a 9 year age gap.

After watching SD in her dance recital last weekend, I've decided I kind of hope DD has little interest in dance. Maybe tumbling, but the other stuff I could do without. Between the very questionable costumes, the horrible and fairly inappropriate song choices, and the bitchy director, I am crossing fingers it's not her thing.

13 to 15 were pretty awful with my stepdaughter. I mean awful.

Now she's 16 and she is a remarkable kid. Really awesome. They just need a few years to figure themselves out.

The whole Starbucks dirty diaper thing made me wonder if I'm odd. If I were at Starbucks with DS, I presumably wouldn't be spending a ton of time there. Like, an hour tops, right? I would never change a pee diaper in that situation. I would just wait until we got home. I would change a poop diaper (in the car), but not a pee. Is this a FFFC?

My FFC: I spent more time caring for pets last night than with my husband. Two dogs, a hedgehog, and the tadpoles? Lots of work. He offered to help, but I told him to relax. I sounded nice, but really I'm just picky about pet care and like to do it myself. Dh would do a good job but this is one of the few things I'm controlling about.

Dh has a bunch of things he wants to sell versus give away before we move. I plan to sneak them out of the house a little at a time and donate them. He hasn't noticed so far, his prices are unreasonable, and I don't want to drive fifteen minutes out of my way to sell five dollars worth of crap to someone off Craigslist when goodwill is on my way home.

If he didn't work such long hours and could handle it all, that'd be different.

I'm kind of terrified that this baby might be a girl.  Everyone else wants it to be but I just don't know if I would be a good mom to a girl.  I have no real basis for this.  Maybe it's because I'm so used to boys?  I'm not a very girly-girl.  I'm also really dreading what the teenage years would be like.  I was less than pleasant as a teen.

I do have a wonderful relationship with my mom now and would love to have that with my own daughter some day.  So, I guess there's that.

I would love to be a dance mom, haha! If I were on Made, I would ask to be made into a hip hop dancer, so I'd love to live vicariously through my child/children. I'm such a loser.

My kid watches more TV and movies than he should and I don't feel bad about it.  We go out and do tons of stuff like the park, indoor play gyms, visiting the zoo, museums, classes, etc. and make use of the backyard every day but when we are indoors he likes to watch something while he plays.  I figure as long as he isn't totally sedentary while watching and we do other stuff together it isn't a horrible thing.  He's learned a lot from watching Super Why and Leapfrog videos, too, so there's that.

If it is something DD is interested in, I could make the choice to take her somewhere else. Since SD has been there for 6 years, she will not go for changing studios. It doesn't help we live in a small town and know her instructors.

Ha!  I caught my dog in the middle of eating his own puke the other day and just walked away and let him finish so that I wouldn't have to clean the chunks up.  In my defense I was feeling pretty sick to my stomach that day and knew that cleaning it would make ME barf, too.  After he was done I was able to scrub the floor without getting sick.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies! My employer is an assgoblin amd I think he is going to be less than accepting of it. We have no HR department and no clear cut employee handbook, im pretty sure I'm losing my two weeks vaca. Ughh.

That would certainly be a concern, so I might just try to change in the stroller. Changing him on/near a table would not even be an option in my mind, though.

I felt the same way! To the point I even convinced myself and the US tech Dd was a boy! I worried I wouldn't know how to parent a daughter or that I wouldn't love her as much Bc little boys are just so awesome. So far my fears haven't come to fruition.
