I found out my almost 3 year DD has a cavity. I am pretty upset because we have always brushed and flossed her teeth, don't do juice, etc but that is besides the point.
The pediatric dentist doesn't allow parents in the procedure room so I refused to consent to having the cavity filled. I found another pediatric dentist that will allow my husband back since I am pregnant.
I have heard some pretty bad horror stories of having cavities filled at this age. The first dentist I saw said they would use gas and swaddle her. My DD just started to be ok seeing doctors in the past few months. I am worried she is going to freak out during this procedure and that this is going to make her terrified of going to the dentist or doctor.
Can anyone tell me good or bad experiences with there toddlers having cavities filled? What was the procedure like?
