Today when K and I left the house he usually runs to his car door. Today he said, "wait, wait!" And then slipped his little hand in mine and we held hands all the way to the car. Awww, I love that boy!
O is pretty good with stairs but outdoor stairs he knows he has to hold me hand. We have 3 flights to go down as soon as we leave our front door, so he walks right over to them and waits for me to close the door and then reached for my hand to go down. I love hand holding!
I love holding his hand too! Whe we walk in the mall or anywhere if someone else is holding his hand and I stand beside him he grabs my hand and let go of the other person.
But yesterday when he woke up we did our normal rutine but he was soooo adorable with me and he hugged me and lay his head on my shoulder for some time [the white amd black pic on Instagram]. I always wish those moments would last a lifetime.
Carter talks A LOT, but refuses to say "I love you". He thinks it's funny when we ask him to repeat it. Two nights ago, I laid him in his crib and heard "Love you, Mommy" as I walked out the door. Big melt!
This morning, we were walking into daycare and he looked up at me and said "I carry you?", which meant he wanted me to carry him. He always wants to walk on his own, so this made me happy. :
We should write a children's book!
"I love it when you hold my hand"
I bet it would be a best seller!
My dad would always annoy me as a pre-teen/teenager and say "come on girl, hold my hand" in a parking lot or something. He loves to get a rise out of us. But now that I am a parent I bet deep down he was missing when I was his little girl and always held his hand. I am going to miss it one day too (and probably be just as annoying as my dad about it)
When I ask L if she wants something (some milk, to go visit Grandma, etc) and she does, she does this little panting and hopping thing and then hugs me. It's like she's telling me how excited she is to do it.
This morning we were outside talking to the neighbour and she was asking me to pick her up, so I picked her up and kept talking to my neighbour, and C grabbed my face and turned it towards hers and kissed me on the lips. It caught me so off guard I stopped talking mid-sentence.

I know this is an old thread, but I absolutely love it when I'm holding Owen and he randomly points to me on my chest or shoulder and says Mama. As if he is proud or happy. it melts my heart. I always reply with, Mama loves you! melt!!

C is so sweet about always holding my hand if we are in the parking lot. It just makes me melt because he holds his little chubby hand out and won't move til I hold onto it.
He also has gotten really big into giving other people hugs. Anytime you say "can I have a hug, C?" No matter what he is doing he will drop everything, smile, and run up to give you a hug. He'll only let you hug him for a few second though, haha.

She recently said I love mommy! Or more accurately, I loafe mommy heehee
I also love it in the morning when either I or H is leaving the room she's yelling " 'mon mommy! 'mon daddy!" Telling us to come on
"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
I love when he runs over to me and gives me a kiss or a hug out of the blue.
