I've pretty much stopped using my cloth because the elastic around the legs and pocket is stretched out, so I can't get a good fit around his legs and the blowouts aren't worth it. I'm about to PT him so its not that big of a deal, BUT...I'm pregnant with #3 and trying to decide if I should try to salvage these (other than the elastic I think they are in good shape and I used them from about 11 weeks-current) or just buy a new stash.
Also, did the elastic go bad because I dried them in my dryer? It was always on low setting.

Re: Elastic is stretched out - fix or replace?
Replacing elastic in most pocket diapers is pretty easy. It is certainly worth a try.
It's possible that drying stretched out the elastic. If your LO was a chunky monkey before he started walking that could also be the culprit.
I would definitely replace (in fact, I did
). I don't think it's from drying them though. Elastics are going to stretch out. It's just part of the wear and tear on the diaper. Anything elastic is going to get stretched out if it's used over and over again. If they were tight on an 11wk old, think of how far they have to stretch to accomodate toddler thighs, KWIM?
