Hi everyone!
I might hop on board this group, but I wanted to make sure I'm in the right place first. My DH and I have been TTC for more than 2 years. I have PCOS, clomid doesn't work for me, injectables hardly work, blah, blah, you know the drill.
The reason I'm not sure I'm in the right place is because DH and I have decided to try some natural methods for a while rather than going to the RE any more. We've actually been doing that since August when we moved from Texas to Oklahoma and lost our doctor. So, is there a board specifically for people trying natural methods (supplements, acupuncture, charting, etc.)? Or maybe lots of people do these things here?
Thanks ladies!
Re: New and a question
Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility
IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!
Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545 -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
Welcome! I'd read natural methods threads, if someone were to start them! That's something I could get into.
I'm doing the "natural method" thing right now I guess, but it's only partially by choice. The military won't monitor me on Clomid, so I won't take it, and I'm not far enough along in IF to pay OOP for IUI or IVF, IMO. I'm one of the ladies on this board who hasn't seen an RE yet. I just didn't feel like I fit in on the TTGP board, too many "I've been trying for 3 months and OMG why isn't it happening yet" posts. I do still lurk there a bit though.
I would try acupuncture myself, although I've seen mixed reviews about whether or not it helps conceive. It probably depends on the practitioner, and I can tell you from experience that I used to get acupuncture for back pain, one acupuncturist was fantastic, he retired, and his replacement was worthless.
Good luck!

Hi!
I am on 3 years TTTC and am currently not doinging anything medically to cycle. In fact, I haven't done any IUI, or meds for a year now (we took a mental and emotional break). We just restarted seeing our doctor in April and are redoing all of our IF testing. I am hoping to see a RE in June/July, but I'm getting out of the military and the dates are up in the air. So for the last year we went back to charting, started new supplements recently and I have a consult for accupuncture. I also ordered fertility Yoga and its fun, don't know if it helps, but its fun!
So I guess I'm saying, you belong! LOL. Welcome and I hope your aren't here long! GL!
