Hours between feedings

My LO is 8 weeks (tomorrow) and just started eating 5oz every 4 hours. She is only eating 5 times in a 24 hour period which is 25oz a day. Is that enough food? Prior to this she was eating 6 times a day and around 27 oz. (sometimes she would eat 4oz. and sometimes she would eat 5oz.) She was also eating 3- 31/2 hours between feedings. Just want to make sure she is eating enough times a day and enough oz.

That sounds like not enough to me, but Ds was still getting bm at that point. He was eating every 3 hours at that age.

I heard between 24oz - 34oz of formula a day is the normal range. Babies can go more or less and still gain the appropriate amount. As long as they are making wet and poopy diapers, and their soft spots aren't sunken along with dry mouth, then they should be fine.

This. But if your unsure just give pediatrician a call
