My DS is almost 6 weeks and he basically wakes up every 1.5 hours to eat around the clock. He will take a slightly longer nap in the afternoon, but that's pretty much it. I know every baby is different, but I'd love to hear when your LOs started sleeping for longer stretches at night? At this point I'd be happy with a 2.5 hour stretch...I need to hear about the light at the end of the tunnel!

Mine fusses to nurse all evening. She definitely demands to be fed. She's pretty much slept a 4 hour stretch at night since she came home from the hospital. But we bedshare, and she's always slept better next to me. She also nurses constantly all day long now.

I've tried cluster feeding and a bath before bedtime, but it's pretty much hit or miss. The best we've gotten out of DD is a 5.5 hour stretch at night. Last night went like this: I put her down at 9:30 pm, she was up at 11, nursed again, down at 11:30, up at 1, nursed again and down at 2, slept till 6 and didn't go back to sleep till almost 8:30. She is almost 7 weeks and I'm hoping things get better soon.
Those of you whose LO STTN, do they nap a lot during the day?

Every child IS different. You have to keep in mind that when babies are going thru growth spurt they do eat every 1-2 hrs and very fussy. Your is going thru 2nd major growth spurt (6week) since birth, Give it little time a few day and it will go back to better normal for a while till week 12.
One of best books to describe and help them go thru it is: The wonder weeks : how to stimulate your baby's mental development and help him turn his 10 predictable, great, fussy, phases into magical leaps forward / Hetty van de Rijt and Frans Plooij
