Getting yelled at

I messed some stuff up recently and have a hot date with my crazy boss tomorrow morning for a good old fashioned, closed door, yelling-at.  Fortunately, I leave this job the very next day to start a new one on Monday.  Ugh!

That sucks.  I hope it's not too rough.  I probably wouldn't have even worried about giving an employee a "talking to" if they were on their way out the door anyway.

  • Yes this sucks. I actually realized when I came in this morning that I misunderstood something someone said and it resulted in me really messing something up. I can fix it but I am dreading telling my boss about it. He's going to be really agitated until it gets fixed.

  • It was worse than I thought.  Plus, she left the door open so everyone could hear.  Oh well -- adios hostile office!

why would you even sit and stay there and get yelled at when you are leaving the next day? I would have just made that the end of it.

I completely agree. Being reprimanded for doing something wrong is one thing...but "yelling at you" is completely immature and unprofessional. You're not his child. I would not have tolerated it.
