Amnio results?

Does anyone know how long it typically takes to get results back from your amnio? Just curious.

    It took me 18 days, because they processed the samples longer than usual. The nurse told me that it usually takes 12-14 days.

    Thanks! I had not heard how long results typically took, so this helps.

    We are on the fence as we haven't told anyone, but everyone is speculating. We really wanted to wait until after the amino, but they don't test until 15-16 weeks, plus then the wait time for results. I am 11 weeks and things are starting to "bulge" so not sure we can wait that long. Smile

    I did the FISH test, and it took 48 hours, but that was for the larger chromosome abnormalities. The rest of the results came in about two weeks.
