Better late than never, but I didn't make it to my due date this time. Last Sunday (May 5th) I woke up at 4am with what was a really long contraction. I had been getting them for 3 weeks, so I wasn't really expecting much. Unfortunatly I was getting long painful contractions enough that I wasn't really able to go back to bed. Some of my contractions were over 5 minutes. I finally broke down and called the doctors office for advice & was told to come in if they continued.

They started one on top of another so I decided to go on in. When I arrived I was at 4 and the biggest shock was I didn't need any pitocin this time (DS1 was induced after my water broke). William Vernon was born at 2:13pm and weight 6 lbs 13 oz and was 20 inches long. The exact size of his big brother (although he was 4 days early). It's been a long past week & a half, but he's such a sweetie. Here's a pic of him on his way home:

I'm hoping to be able to change my siggy soon...no luck yet. Anyways he'll always have a fun B-day. Not only was it Cinco de Mayo but he came Derby weekend.
