Babies on the Brain

Best Answer!

My DH and I have been TTC since Christmas. Knowing this my MIL recently asked my DH if any grand babies were coming. He told her no and she asked him if he knew what he was doing/was he doing it right. My DH responds with "Oh yeah I know what I'm doing. I get lots of practice and I'm darn good at it."

Needless to say she doesn't ask things like that anymore. =

What other great ways have you responded to similar Q's??

He said that to his mom?

Sounds like something my husband would say to his mom. And she would laugh. They are very open about things like that.

My DH and his mom are open too. She laughed but also got the intended message: You ask a personal question, prepare to get a personal answer. And, we'll tell you when I'm pregnant!

I think worse than his response was the fact that she asked if he was "doing it right". Serves her right, LOL.

  • I find it wierd that a mans mother would ask him something like this.  Maybe it's just me.

oh my brother called me out at moms day brunch for not having a mimosa. Loudly. In front of ALL my family.

I told him it was because I was fat and I thought cutting down/out alcohol would help eliminate excess calories.

He got pretty quiet. I could stand to lose more than a few, but no man wants to enter into that conversation. Especially since he has a belly of his own.

How true is that!! No man dares venture into those waters. Haha.

Now that my DH and I are TTC I'll only drink the week of AF and the following week just to be safe. Which means I haven't drank since mid january... So whenever we're out and ppl ask why if I'm having a drink I always use the DD excuse and claim to be too much of a light weight to have even one drink.
