What age to catch a ball?

What is the normal age for kiddos to learn to throw, catch and hit a ball (like baseball). We haven't tried the 3rd yet but DD can do the first two. I just wanted to make sure that we are on track.

I would think 1 to throw, 2+ to catch and have no idea on hitting.

My ds is 17 months or so and has been doing it for a while. He's much better at throwing the ball than catching it though. He also throws with both hands, so we don't know if he's a righty or lefty yet.

DS can throw over and underhand for about 5 months.  over hand he can throw a ball 5-10 feet.  he can catch a larger ball off a bounce.  he can not hit a ball yet.  but we have not tried.  i am scared to put a bat in his hand!!

DS has been catching since he was barely over a year. BUT, he has always been facinated with balls and we play "catch" with him a lot, I think that had a lot to do with it
