I had to have an amino performed at 36 weeks for medical reasons and it sent me into early labor. My son was frank breech and ECV attempts were unsuccessful (according to my perinatologist his butt was wedged in my pelvis). I had a csection that night.
I delivered my frank breech baby vaginally at the OB's urging. I suffered a 4th degree tear and some lasting nerve damage that has led to mild incontinence. So, to prevent further damage, my next one will be delivered via csection. I'm nervous!
Induced with pitocin at 41 weeks due to signs of placental decay on u/s. Started at 3 cm on my own but then labored for 24 hours, last 14 hours stuck at 7 cm, 90%, DD never descended and contractions were no longer effective so had an unplanned c-section. Afterwards, OB said that the fat part of her head was down, making the largest possible circumference and she was 9 lbs 13 ou. So size + poor positioning was what probably caused the failure to progress.
This time they will allow a TOL to VBAC if I go into spontaneous labor, but will not induce. Otherwise, RCS as close as possible to EDD.
Fetal distress during induction at 36 weeks. He had raped the cord two times around his neck so even mild contractions were causing his heart rate to drop dramatically.

He was unable to descend and I didn't dialate at all. My water had broken and DS was laying on the umbilical cord so everytime I contracted his heat rate dropped dramatically. He needed out so that was that.
DDs heart rate was dropping from 160 to 60 with every contraction. My contractions started out 1-2 minutes apart. When we got to the hospital (we left right away) I was sure I would be 9-10 cm, nope only 3. I was only in labor for maybe 3 hours when they took me for the csection and about 4 cm. DD was blue and unresponsive when they pulled her out. Her first apgar score was a 0. She was intubated, and they rushed her out of the room. I didn't even get to see her before they took her. It was really scary, especially for DH who watched the whole thing, I was pretty drugged. He was video taping it but stopped the video because he didn't think she was going to make it and didn't want that on tape. About 30 minutes later they told us she was breathing on her own and doing much better. She spent 2 nights in the NICU, they still are not sure what caused her heart rate to drop.
We have opted for a RCS with baby #2, DH still tears up when we talk about DDs birth. He really does not want to go through that again and I can't blame him.
Mine was an emergency. My BP plummeted shortly after getting the epidural, to the point where I was only half-conscious. DS's heartrate dropped as a result, and it wasn't going up fast enough.
I had the added bonus of it being under general anesthesia too.
I had a complete placenta previa. Even though delivering a stillborn 29 weeks 4 days I still had to have a c section because of the risk of large amounts of bleeding.
Baby was breech and I had pre-c, so scheduled a csection, but water broke 5 days prior to schedule c-section, had emergency csection due to cord prolapse.
Didn't find out until I got to the hospital in labor that I was 6+ cent. and my guy was breech. There went our plans and 4 hours later I was on the table having my c-section.
I was on hospital bedrest with the twins due to pre-e when a 24hr urine test showed I had 17g of protein. They were both head down, but I was only 34 weeks and 0cm dilated and 0% effaced. They said it was be incredibly dangerous to induce me because I was a high seizure risk and a seizure could cause all 3 of us to not make it, so emergency c-section it was. I saw them for about 1-2 mins before they were whisked away to the NICU. I asked them to please cut me so that a VBAC would be possible and they said they did, so I'm hopeful that for that next time around.
Vasa previa. baby will exsanguinate if delivered vaginally

No progress in spite of two separate efforts to induce and at 41w1d my placenta was aging. My OB was willing to wait another couple days but given my history it was unlikely that I'd go into labor on my own or that a third induction would work. As it turned out after my CS, I have congenital scar tissue on my cervix and my chances of delivering the old fashioned way were slim to none.
The actual reason was oligohydramnios, aka low amniotic fluid. I had been in the hospital already though for a week due to a bad case of acute bronchitis and was still really sick and having a very difficult time breathing prior to finding out my fluid was low, and I honestly dont think I could have labored a vaginal delivery successfully.
#1 was a section after pushing for 4 hours. She was not moving down the birth canal at all - turns out she had a fused suture and would never have come out vaginally.
#2 was a failed VBAC. I pushed for 2 hours, but her heart rate was dropping. She had the cord around her neck.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

My daughter has inherited my brittle bone condition; she has a broken femur in utero. We're hoping for no additional fractures due to delivery with a c-section (no guarantees either way...)
