Transitioning out of Merlin's magic sleep suit

We tried th past 3 nights.  DD is being dressed in a onsie and a Carter's zipper sleeper blanket.  Night 1: slept til 1am  then awake off and on the rest of the night. Night 2: horrible... Up all night.  Night 3 gave in at 11 and put her back in the sleep suit... She is 5 months old.  Suggestions?

    I found with my DD that she didn't sleep well in the zip up blankets.  It would get twisted around her body because she moved around in her sleep.  Put her in a zip up outfit with feet and she was much happier and slept better.  This was coming off wearing Merlin for a few week.

    Is there a reason you have to do it now?  Maybe she's just not ready.

    We need to wean off of it soon because it'll just be too hot, I think. And he's eight months old and it's so short on his arms and legs. 

    When we tried at 5m, he wasn't ready at all. It was terrible. (Sorry; totally not helpful.)
