Essure and Breastfeeding Feedback PLEASE!

Im scheduled to have the Essure inserted on Thursday. I was on the Nuva ring which affected my milk. Does anyone have any feedback on the Essure before I go in? Just want to hear Im making the best decision for my supply. My OB doesn?t seem to know much about BF? TIA!

    Essure is non-hormonal so it will not affect your milk supply. Your MD should have been able to fully explain this to you as part of the consent process as it is a procedure.

    Like the pp said, essure is not hormonal and will not affect milk.

    It is, however, permanent. Did your OB discuss the procedure with you?

    This.  It's not birth control; it's the same as having your tubes tied, only never reversible. I'm sure you know that, but just checking! :)
