I know DS is still a little young and isn't really reaching for food yet. But he eats like a champ and really likes his purees. I was thinking of trying at about 8 or 9 months. I don't remember when I did it with DD.

We just started last weekend, right around 7 months and I'm not necessarily sure DD is ready. She likes them, but she has difficulty picking them up and getting them in her mouth. For now I let her try and then help her put them in her mouth.
We started yesterday. She's 7 1/2 months. I bought her the Gerber Vanilla ones. I swear they put crack in those things. I even found myself eating them...

Yeah my mom bought one for my daughter and one for herself. lol
I think I'm going to try puffs when she turns 8 months. Although I'm such a paranoid parent I'll probably start by mushing it up for her first while holding my breath lol. When she was younger my aunt tried to convince us to give her Cheetos as her first solid. Idk maybe we are being overly protective but even now at 7 months both my DH and I would freak if she gave her Cheetos.
