Question about the shot...

How soon after you get the shot can you begin to have unprotected sex. I received the shot May 3...This is the first time I've been on the shot so I'm not really sure.

    When I got the shot 2 or so years ago, they told me to use other forms of bc for the whole first cycle. We only did for about a month probably and did not get pregnant. I would definitely call and ask a dr since I would be frantic if I got pregnant again in the next year, especially the next three months.

    I'm sure your dr told you this but I had three rounds of the shot (9 months total) and it took me 6 months to get pregnant. Just in case you are wanting to plan another one at a certain time. :)
