Babies: 9 - 12 Months

2nd nap. Need advice

My LO just turned 11 months and I think is already fighting 2nd nap. It's been taking him a really long time to put himself to sleep but once he does he is exhausted and sleeps for an hour plus which then keeps putting bed time back. For the last 6 months we've been doing 3 hour wake time, nap, 3 hour wake time, nap and then 4 hour wake time to bed time. It's been great and he really seemed to like his schedule. He has also always loved his room and crib and usually has no problem putting himself to sleep. But just these last couple days he screams bloody murder when I put him in his crib, usually for the 2 nap but once he did do it for the 1st nap. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's time to go down to only one nap. He still seems really tired for that second nap and I don't know if I should just power through this and it's just a faze or what. HELP

My LO went through a few days like that so we did a few days of one nap rather than 2. I just pushed the morning nap to 11am then she napped 11-1ish and bed at 6pm. However I think she got overtired that way. So we're back to two naps, even if it takes her a little time to fall asleep I'm sticking with this route.

Personally with my LO I think it's more she's now learning to pull up on stuff (easiest in the crib than anywhere else) so she's just pre-occupied with standing and crawling. That's more fun than sleep to her. I don't think it's necessarily she's not tired it's just its tough for her to stop 'playing' and to lay down.
