We were given a very fancy Bugaboo Frog strollers as a hand me down from our friends. It looks like it would be nice for in the city use. I'm a big hiker and plan on taking the baby hiking w/ me frequently. I would be hiking on rough, hilly, rutty fire roads and hiking trails. Our road is also a bumpy, pot hole filled country road.
I don't think the frog is built for that sort of use, although it did seem to have some suspension. I am leaning towards buying a used BOB revolution. Does any body have any feedback on the above two strollers and hiking? I probably won' be using it for running much.
Re: stroller question for hiking Moms
A bob will handle rough roads better than bugaboo because of the tire size and air filled tires.
We just bought a gently used Bumbleride Indie in Seagrass, and I am in love with it! So nice to see someone on these boards that has it and uses it for hiking as that was our main reason for choosing it. The BOB is MUCH bigger and that was our main deterrent from that all terrain.
Our BOB has maneuvered some pretty crazy trails with little effort.
The revolution is not the best for what you describe though as while the front wheel locks it is much smaller. You would find the BOB ironman or SUV more suiting. We have the SUV.
