I already have a Moby Wrap, but am thinking that we will want to buy an Ergo or the like as well.
I have heard that everyone and their baby is different so it is hard to tell in advance what you would like. Is this something that I should wait until after I give birth to determine which we like best? Perhaps when we can test them out with out LO?
Or maybe I should just opt for one and see?
Thanks!
Re: When to buy baby carrier?
My friend recommended getting this instead of the Ergo.
Beco baby carrier (like the Ergo, but baby can face forward or towards you)

I would wait. I inherited a Bjorn from my sister and purchased a Maya wrap. I hated the Bjorn and my son hated the wrap, so I ended up giving the Bjorn back to my sister and selling the wrap on CL. We went to a baby boutique when he was 4 months old and tried the Ergo. We both loved it, so that's what we went with.

I'm 16 weeks and I already have a Moby, an Ergo, a woven wrap, and a friend is making me a ring sling, but they were all gifts or very very good prices.
You might want to check on local Meetup groups in your area. I know around here (Chicago burbs) we have a Babywearing Mamas meetup where you can test out carriers with your LO to see what you'll like best once he or she arrives. Stick with one or two basic carriers for now and then explore/borrow some others.
