Help with formula supp- EFF and pumpers come in

Hi ladies-

i am exclusivley pumping due to sons tongue tie. ( we are working on his suck training and I hope to get him back to the breast after that is complete).

he is taking in more than I am pumping ( only pumping 600ml a day).

For those of you who give formula, do you boil the water before using it to mix formula? Do you use tap water or bottle water? Also, do you have any tips and tricks or products you use to make this easier? It seems like a long process to boil water, wait for it to cool, mix formula and then start again. Breastfeeding was so much easier than this :(

For those exclusive pampers- how did you get supply up? I'm trying to pump 10 times a day but with bottle feeding and taking care of a 4 week old its closer to 8 (30 minute sessions) and sometimes I hand express for five minutes after. I am also taking fenugreek and malanguay.

  Thanks!!

I use a Brita pitcher that I fill from the tap. I fill it and it sits at room temp.

  • We have a well so we have to use bottled. If you want to boil tap water, that will be major PITA in my opinion. I'd stick with bottled.
