Cry/whimper after 45 to 59 mins of sleep

Just wondering if anyone has been having this problem. DD is 4m this week and the past couple days have been rough. Between her waking in the night and now seems to want to feed alot more then usually.

I've noticed she does this saddening whimper with 45 mins of being alseep. Then within 5 mins is at a hysterical cry. I'm out of ideas tried everything from gas drops to feeding. Any ideas ??

On top of DD being out of wack, DH has. 101 fever that sprung up this afternoon. Not so joyous for mothersday . BUt still am so thankful for my little family.

I don't have any great advice, but this is definitely a common stage. It's called "the 45 minute intruder." If you google that term, you might find some good tips. Good luck, and Happy Mother's Day. Sorry that it wasn't a great day for you.

Mine too. But it sounds like someone is beating her and she is usually so happy! I'm at a loss.

If you sign up for Lucie's List or go on her website she has good info about this having to do w/the 4 month sleep regression. An LC told me that it can also be a sign the baby was overtired when put down and that his/her cortisol levels are too high so to try to get baby down earlier next time (some things to look for are red eyebrows, rubbing eyes - these will occur before the yawning - when you see the yawn it is already too late).

DS does this. He's never full on awake, but its a hysterical cry. To me, it always sort of sounds like a bad/scary dream, but what does a 4 month old dream about? Boobies being taken away? I always just pick him up, comfort him, and he's right back to sleep.

DS does this during naps but I haven't heard him doing it at night.  Like other posters, though, he is waking more often the past few nights when he had been STTN. It doesn't worry me, though, especially if it is happening to so many of us!
