Today my little man seemed to want to eat all day long and cry non stop.. Has anyone else dealt with this.? I thought maybe he had a fever or something but he didn't.. If anyon else has dealt with this do you know what was wrong.? Ive never seen him eat so much and cry so much

  • I could have written this post myself! I assume it's a growth spurt.

  • Not sure how old your LO is but sounds like a growth spurt to me.

  • My little guy is going to be 10 weeks on ThursdayThursday
  • My little one will be six weeks this Wed and all I can say is I wanted to post this exact post earlier today. He is crying and fussing after everything is alright, check his diaper, feed him, burp him a lot, hold him, rock him.. he just cries and he normally doesn't do that. The only time he stops is when he is eating and if it stops for a second (when my flow gets slower and when I burp him) he screams.

I do think this is a growth spurt because he is nursing from both breasts and taking an extra 4.5 oz of formula after every feeding... and twice today he has wanted that within an hour of just being fed.

Are you breastfeeding? If so, it could be something in your diet. This is what would happen to me when ever I would eat spicy food. Within 6 hours of consuming what ever the food was, LO would be extremely fussy and the only way to console him was through nursing, hence re-introducing the spicy food until it left my system. It was a very ugly vicious circle. If you are nursing, my suggestion is to flush your system quickly by drinking tons of water. You will be able to notice a difference in your LO once the food has passed.

    GL!

  • This has been DS the last two days.  I went on a 2hr walk as that is one of the ways that will put him to sleep.  He is 3w2d so hopefully this is just a growth spurt and will be over soon.
