Travel Issues....HELP

Tomorrow we are taking a long road trip.  My 4 year old wants to watch movies on the van's dvd player on the way.  The problem is that my 20 month old will want to watch too but she is still rear facing and won't be able to see the screen.  I know I can't be the only person to have this problem.  How have you handled it?  I do NOT want to turn her forward facing just so she can watch a movie.

Re: Travel Issues....HELP

  • We have this issue too, with two kids rear facing in the middle. Our older ones are able to see. We have a big trip coming up. I'm also interested in others ideas. I may have the older ones wear the headphones and get a duel screen portable for the little ones.

  • We don't have a built in DVD, but when I bought a travel one we got one with 2 screens so we can strap one for each kid no matter what direction they're facing. May be worth the 100?

This.  No movies.  Just music, singing songs, looking out the windows, etc.  They'll survive.  We all did in the days prior to movies being available everywhere.
