Best Individual Guess: Annie10 got 285 points for guessing that Hattie would rise (from 994 to 709).

 

Rising Boys: Shout outs to those who got 70+ points on a single guess in the ?Rising Boys? category: queenbone and Luhdashuh (both Theo: 73 pts), Annie10 (Dax: 73 pts), Zimger (Maverick: 72 pts).

 

Wizard Criteria: Some guesses would have done great based on the criteria used by the Baby Name Wizard contest, which awards more points for popular names that rise. Both elle.bee and MeganRod13 would have done very well in that contest for their predictions of Liam and Paisley, both of which were top-10 rising names by % of total births.

 

Falling Stars: Shout outs to those of you who picked rapidly falling names: laurasusan got 108 points for Kiera and Blondangel got 94 points for Kendra. Also notable: elle.bee?s pick of Alexis and Helenahandbasket?s Justin, both of which are top-3 falling names by the Baby Name Wizard?s criteria.

 

Wishful Thinking: plunderb, Zimger, and bobcee get to hang their heads in shame for the worst picks of the contest. They picked Iker and/or Brantley to fall, but Iker actually rose 149 places and Brantley rose 163!

Frankly, there was no wrong spelling if you picked Adelyn/Adalyn/Addylinn to rise:
