Success after IF

An answer to my question- updated

Either last week or earlier this week I posted wondering if it would be obvious if LO wanted to go to bed earlier. Normally our last feed of the day is around 9pm amd LO is out by 10pm. Last night LO fed at 7:30pm (normally our second last feeding time), fussed to 8:30, and then was pretty much in a coma and had his long stretch and woke up to eat at 1am. We will see if it keeps up or if it was a one time thing. But it certainly wasn't subtle. I just wish I had clued in and gone to bed earlier. I am tired not getting a 4h chunk!

update: so much for that! Last night LO decided to have an extra feed at 10:30pm. Still sorting out what he wants I guess. :)

  • I'm happy that worked out for you. It's nice when you figure these things out. Sometimes it takes a while for us mommies to clue in but eventually we do.

I find babies typically let you know what they need. It just sometimes takes a bit for us to realize what they are telling us. Hopefully the new bedtime sticks and you start getting some decent chunks of sleep.

4h is wonderful. LO has had three 2h naps today so we will see if anyone sleeps tonight! Maybe he's flipped day and night now for some reason...
  • Hooray for more sleep! Hope LO settles into this new pattern! We love J's 7pm bedtime because it gives DH and I some time together each night.
