Corrected Boys Top 10 with different variants

So I was curious and a bit bored on my lunch break, so I went through the SSA 2012 top 1000 boys names by number of babies born looking for similar names with different spellings or close variants (in my opinion, of course) of names to get the "real" top 10.  Here is what I ended up with (sorry if I missed any, I did this more or less by hand):

 

1)  Jackson, Jaxon, Jaxson, Jack - 30,151

 

2)  Aiden, Aidan, Aydan, Ayden, Adan, Aaden, Aden, Aidyn - 26,992

 

3)  Jacob, Jakob, Jake, Jaycob - 22,523

 

4)  Jayden, Jaiden, Jaden, Jaydon, Jaidyn, Jadon, Jaeden - 21,736

 

5)  Michael, Micah, Mike, Micheal - 20,308

 

6)  Alexander, Alexzander, Alex, Alec - 19,867

 

7)  Mason, Maison, Mayson - 19,396

 

8)  Ethan - 17,547

 

9)  William, Willie, Will - 17,443

 

10)  Noah - 17,201 

 

If you combine the Aidens with the Jaidens and add in:

 

Kayden, Kaiden, Kaden, Cayden, Caiden, Caden - 15,593

Brayden, Braden, Braydon, Braiden, Braeden, Bradyn - 11,357

Hayden - 3,507

Zayden, Zaiden - 2,182

Raiden, Rayden - 700 

 

You end up with 82,115 baby boy -adens!!!! for the number one spot, which moves everyone else up one and adds in Liam at number 10 with 16,687 boys.

Combined spellings definitely effects things!

 

Thanks!  I saw that post just after I posted mine  I'll leave my version up anyway since it differs slightly and I'm really shocked by all the total of -aiden names.
