Time to move into a bigger car seat - Recc's?

We have starting to look into buying the next stage car seat.

We've been using the Chicco Cortina travel system... and we've been very happy with it.

Any suggestions for the next seat.  Do you love yours??

  • Take a look at the brand new Chicco Nextfit convertible.  It is pretty awesome and has some great features.

  • I LOVE the Nextfit. It was 'stupid easy' to install, you can get it for about $225, and it has high rear facing limits. One other plus for us is that the seat seems to take up less front to back room compared to other seats with similar height and weight limits.

I have the Peg Perego convertible and I love it.  Also very easy to use and I got it for a great deal from nobetterdeal.com

  • We're going with the Britax Advocate 70-G3 because of the increased side impact protection. We drive an SUV that has side bucket seats in the middle row, so she will always be against the side of the car, side impact protection was important to us and the Britax had that. Plus, easy to install (practiced with the floor model) and the additional padding and support was important to us. Also- super easy to take the cover off to wash :)
  • We have a Foonf. Worth ever penny to me. I'm a big fan of the fact that it crash tests at 3 years the same FF as it does RF. I don't know of any other seat that does that. It is more expensive but I figured I spend money on far less important things.
