I felt like this was taking forever to come a cycle where we are actually able to start trying again. (my siggy never works and i cant fix it I had a pylop removed in april)
I am now on 100mg of clomid for this cycle starting on CD3 for 5 days. I have na ultrsound on 5/19/13 to check on everything. Docotr mentioned that after CD10 we will go back for normal testing and wait for the surge and go in for IUI. I am not sure yet if it is bloodwork or at home testing. I know that he wanted bloodwork when we were trying in march but they found the pylop so I never got that far. I always hear that its super important to be watched close when on Clomid should I be going to ultrasounds more often? Any thoughts would be great...
I am waiting on a call back from the nures to confrim if I should be doing the bloodwork or the at home testing. I wish I could just have the ultrasounds until I get the right size and just trigger instead of all this waiting for the surge

Re: CD1
I had great results on 100mg of clomid from CD3-7. And by that I mean I had 2 good looking follicles that grew really well.
In terms of monitoring - we did monitoring by ultrasounds and blood work. Because you're not sure how you're going to respond to the clomid (ie. with one follicle or 10) - I would definitely ask for an ultrasound to look at what you've got at CD10. When I have been on any fertility drug I tend to grow mature follicles faster and so it might be that you surge a couple days earlier than you expect too.
My preference is for a trigger shot to time the inseminations and to make sure that you ovulate both follicles around the same time. But we have had natural surges as well.
Why can't you have the ultrasounds & trigger? If it's possible I would ask for it for your own piece of mind and for the simple reason that donor sperm is EXPENSIVE!
Good luck!

The docotor wants to do little medical intervention as possible. I am getting my ultrasound on 5/19 which will be Cd10, then continue with daily blood workstarting 5/20. On Cd10 I am going to ask about triggering. I want to make sure the timing is good because as you said its expensive. I know that the trigger shot is expensive but not as much as one vial of sperm.
