Hello,
I've debated stating my introduction for many months now. After reading the posts daily I finally decided to say "Hello".
I'm 24-teacher and DH is 33-Farmer. DH has a son from a previous marriage who is 8. We have been trying for a year and a half and obviously I'm longing to have my "own" family with him. I started out with seeing an OB-GYN and he ordered CD3 Bloodwork. After getting the feeling that I needed someone who is more in tune with women struggling to get pregnant I moved on to a RE. I met with him and his nurse, he was horrible and kept calling me a "scientist" because I would say "I have read about that" or "Yes, I understand the HSG test." He also told me that I needed to lose weight, I could probably lose 10 -20 pounds however I don't feel that weighing 150 pounds is considered to be causing fertility problems at 5'4". His nurse was very compassionate and nice, and wanted me to call when I received my next period. Needless to say, I didn't call and immediately switched over to another RE at a different hospital.
Last week I had my consult with the new RE and she was fabulous. Understood our pain, was thorough and truly felt helpful. Tuesday I had my HSG, which was all clear and only had mild cramping. Now I am suppose to use the Clear Blue Easy digital ovulation test kit and when I receive the positive I'm suppose to call and set up progesterone/thyroid (1st RE never checked thyroid, which the 2nd RE said is usually something they test for right away just to know it's clear).
Anyways, sorry this was long, I just finally felt it was time that I said hello and be "open" to complete strangers that are going through similar circumstances online versus telling my family or DH's family. My mom passed away 3 years ago and would have been the person I would tell anything to. So, other than DH and my 1 close friend nobody knows about this current struggle for us.
Thanks ![]()
