Waking up with gut rot?

Seems like no matter what I eat for dinner or before bed I am waking up in the morning with tummy problems...anyone else have this? Usually it goes away after a few hours of drinking water, but still...so not fun!

  • Same here!  I haven't figured out how to avoid it...  Or get it to go away quickly.  My doctor said that it will probably stick with me until the end.  Hoping it doesn't though!

     Goodluck!

I have also been waking up during the night with gut rot. I used to have crackers by the bed when I had MS, but now DH grabs me a cheese stick since crackers now give me heartburn. That usually does the trick, thankfully.

Not sure if its the same thing but yesterday and today I woke up feeling like someone punched my stomach. It hurt every time I moved but wet away a few hrs later. Pregnancy is weird.

  • Every day. I think it's because of the mucus draining down my throat while I sleep. Usually lasts until about 9:30. Eating breakfast, drinking water and time seem to be the cure. That and not fighting needing to burp lots in the morning.

Same with me....I guess I never thought of the mucus but now that you mention it I do have a stuffed nose in the morning...and the same for me that once I eat and drink it goes away within a few hours...
