XP from IF board... Dallas/DFW IVF clinic recs?

***** SIGNATURE/TICKER WARNING********

Looking at SART numbers to find a clinic there.  Dallas IVF (Dr. Barnett?) seems to have great numbers for women 40 and over.  Someone referred me to Dr.Robert Kaufmann at Fort Worth IVF, but his SART numbers are combined in with an entire hospital system.  Not liking that...

Also been advised to look at Dr. Anil Pinto  at ReProMed, but I can't find any SART data on his website or on SART's.  Any thoughts there?  Or on any of these?

I will be driving 300 miles one way to get IVF at one of these clinics.  Any advice, data, or thoughts are truly appreciated.  Also, what does "reliability range" refer to when looking at the SART data?

Thank you!!!!

I go to Dr. Barnett ( Dallas IVF in Frisco).  He and Dr. Ku his partner have great SART numbers.  Dr. B is probably the most "famous" RE in Dallas for what that is worth. The clinic is super nice, I really like the sonographer and most of the nurses are very nice. Now it is a very busy clinic and sometimes you have to wait longer than you want. I have only done 2 IUI's so far there, I am on a treatment break but we will start again in a few months with IUI's then IVF is needed.  I feel very comfortable with this clinic and Dr. Barnett.

Now Dr. Barnett and I get along very well, but he isn't a hold your hand kind of Dr.  Dr. Ku seems to be more that way.  Dr. Barnett is straightforward and tells you how it is. He isn't rude, he just has a very "northern" personality :)  if that tells you anything. That being said I appreciate that about him! I want to know the truth and not have things sugarcoated.  I am there to have him knock me up not be my bestie :)

When I was looking at RE's I was very torn between Dr. B and Dr. James Douglass at Presby Plano ARTS program in Plano.  His numbers are good and the ARTS program gets national recognition etc.. Dr. Barnett actually was part of that before he started his own clinic.  I was very torn, but went with Dr. B since my obgyn recommended him and he did My HSG and I felt comfortable going back to him.

If you have any more questions  you are welcome to send me a direct message etc....

  • Thanks a ton KSGSMU!  I actually prefer a non-saccharine MD.  Just give me the numbers is what I like.  I will pursue getting an appointment!

I have not personally had to undergo IVf, but by all accounts Dr. kaufman is wonderful!! I personally know 5 couples he has gotten pregnant (after they had not had success at other doctors). Good luck to you.

I didn't do IVF, but am using Dr. Anil Pinto. I love his office. One in Dallas and McKinney. They truly helped me. I also have a friend that donates eggs to them. And she loves him, too.

My RE was Dr. Noel Peng. He practices at Medical City Dallas, but shares clinic space with Dr. Pinto. I LOVED him. I really liked being in a single physician practice instead of a big "center". I felt like I got personal attention and guidance. They weren't just cranking out one IVF after another.

Drs Peng and Pinto had their Baby Reunion a few weeks ago and it was so neat to go and see all the families they have helped. It was amazing.
