Gas

Talk to me about gas. How much is too much? LO farts a TON and I imagine its painful for him. When is it considered a problem? Do you use gas drops or something else?

Re: Gas

  • I consider it a problem when she is screaming and she goes sort of rigid... thats when i do gas drops...

she farts like a man, as long as she gets the gas out i wouldnt do anything.

you can try moving his legs like a bicycle, that sometimes helps.

B has really bad (and painful) gas if we don't do drops at every feeding. I just put them right in his bottle, which as an added benefit, cuts down all the air bubbles almost immediately after I add them.

I tried 2 different kinds of gripe water, neither of which worked for him at all. Good old simethicone drops do the trick. Now mind you, he stills farts A LOT, but it isn't painful! Wink
