Has anyone gotten pregnant on their first try ?

Back in October my husband and I decided we wanted to try for our first time in late spring/early summer because I said ideally I would like to have a baby in the spring next year. Has anyone been able to conceive on their first try?

Yep. First month off the pill we did. Wasn't expecting it so soon!

We got bfp the first month we tried, literally the second time we did the deed. I was totally  surprised because I have PCOS. I had been charting on fertilityfriend for almost 2 years though, more to get a better understanding of my cycles. We were finally  ready to try last October and it worked. I am grateful and know how lucky we were, compared to many of my friends. I expected it to take months. Good luck,

I wa off of the pill for 2 years and did not get pregnant. But literally the first month that I looked up the dates of ovulation and we tried on that day, we were pregnant. Spring babies are awesome btw. Ours came in early April, and being pregnant through winter instead of summer was awesome!

First time here. Had no period for 6 months after getting off the ring. Then period came back and went from 40 days to 30 days in 6 months. We gave it a shot to try when my period came in 30 days so i knew my body was back to normal. And BOOM!

First time trying, but I had been charting for a year and knew my cycles really well.  As soon as we decided to pull the goalie around my fertile time, boom.

We had a similar experience.  We'd be charting with fertility friend to avoid for 2 years.  In January 2011 we decided we were ready to start trying and figured the first month we'd check to see how "on" my charting had been.  We had sex once, the day I ovulated.  Got my BFP later that month.

We actually got pregnant when I was switching from one pill to another.  The original pill I was on was giving me ovarian cysts, so I had to switch to a different type.  Lo and behold, period never came, so I took a test and it was positive!

Both times. I have a friend who has done it all three times.

But I also have many friends for whom it has taken much longer. Try to be prepared for both the possibility that it could happen right away OR that it could easily take six months or so. Both are totally normal, as is everything in between.

Yep, got off of the ring in June, used condoms until September, first month it worked! I hadn't been charting my cycles or ovulation, but my periods were regular so based on someone that has a perfect cycle I guessed on when I'd be ovulating and we had even more sex then. We really just had lots the whole month though.

Yes, all three times! We're very lucky (and we know that). But yes, it does happen - often!

I webt off the ring when my hubby was away for a couple months. We were going to start tyring in June this summer. I was looking forward to a few months of "trying", lots of sex no birth control to worry about. I haven't been tracking my ovulation with temps or mucus, just "guesstimating" based on days. My first time having sex sans birth control BAM I get pregnant! I was shocked at how quick it happened!

It took DH and I a year to get pregnant - come to find out we were having sex on the wrong days. I think there is only a 72 hr window where a woman can get pregnant so getting preggo on the first try isn't easy. But it def can happen!

Yep, we did. I used an app to find my fertile time, I think fertility friend, and then made my husband do me everyday for 7 days.

I think he was rather disappointed he didn't get more practice in.  :-)

One and only time we didnt use a condom....i thought i was still going to be on my period for a few days...turns out i finished it the next day...and voila! Bella grace was concieved.

.i hope you dont get to discouraged if it doesnt happen though, my friend has been trying for almost a year and still hasnt and as far as they know theres nothing wrong... 

My husband likes to say, if you have to fail at something....this is the best thing to have to keep trying! Lol

I've gotten pregnant four of the five times I've had unprotected sex during my fertile period.  The first time was a broken condom oops, the next three times I was doing some half-hearted charting.

I had been on the pill for quite a long time (10 years) and my husband and I decided to start trying.  The Doctor told us it could take up to a year to get pregnant....the first month I got off the pill and we tried we got pregnant! We were unbelieveably shocked and happy!!!

On the pill for at least 10 years stopped it on a Tuesday and pregnant by the next Wednesday and I've had surgery on my uterus and had no issues.
