Baby gate that goes across large area

I am planning to baby proof my living room and putting baby gates in between that room and the other rooms.  The problem is that my living room leads into my sunroom and there are not doors, but just sort of a giant doorway...probably about the length of 3-4 regular sized doors.  I definately don't want him in our sunroom because that is where we keep our macaw parrot and I don't want him sticking his fingers in the cage because, well, he might get bit. Has anyone seen a baby gate that would go across a large area like this.

You can buy extensions for the Cardinal Gates.  I think they come in 20" or 40".

Look at retract-a-gate and see if they have one large enough. We bought so many gates for DS and hated them all. I recently sold all ours in a garage sale and replaced them with these .... SO much better!!!

We have an open floorplan in our house.  We bought one of those octagonal yard gates at walmart for $50.  It's 6 panels and opens up so it stretches from the stairwell to the otherwall.  It works great!

 We did this too and it has been great.  Our opening is very large and has a 5 step flight of stairs so we bought a metal play yard and added 2 panels to cover it.  No falls yet!
