Central Florida Babies

Disney

We're getting ready for our first trip to Disney with our 2.5 and 1 year old kids.  We will be staying at a hotel on site so the kids can nap during the day.  Any advice on which hotels would be the best for the little ones?  Anywhere I should look to get Florida resident discounts or better prices?

 Thanks for the help!

Re: Disney

  • How much are you wanting to spend on the hotel? I used to work at Disney and now that I live in Ocala we visit frequently. We usually stay at the pineapple.. it's right outside of DTD and pretty cheap.. decent quality!

  • It's our first trip so we don't really care how much it will be.  We just want it to be the best trip for our kids.  We would like it to be close to the park b/c we will need to leave for a nap during the day.  Does that help with a recomendation?  We were looking at the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge?  Would either of those or anyother place similar be good?

Thanks so much for the response!

  • The Coronado has tons of pools

And the hotel at animal kingdom is suppose to be pretty cool. They have rooms that face where the animals are

  • It's all about what parks you gonna spend most time in. If you gonna be in Mk, the contemporary wilderness or Polynesian are good. Epcot or HS the the boardwalk, yacht or beach. Animal kingdom, only al lodge is close. Riding buses can take an hour sometime

  • The Contemporary is amazing. I work there, have stayed there, and absolutely love it. Art of Animation has a good theme for kids, but not as nice as the Contemporary.

The monorail resorts are really convenient for coming back to the resort for naps.

  • Art of Animation resort is amazing!! All Star and Pop Century are good if you don't want to spend too much. Wilderness Lodge is nice but I like how Art of Animation is centrally located to the parks. Animal Kingdom lodge is gorgeous but costs a lot more.
