Poop change?

Anyone notice a change in LO poop color or consistency when switching formula?

We started out using Similac sensitive then tried the generic brand from Target.  Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

She's gone from every other day to little poops every day or multiple times a day. Almost like it's so thick that it comes out a little at a time.

I bought the Similac Sensitive today thinking the generic is causing the change but my older daughter never had a problem with the Target brand.

Thoughts?

The caps aren't a problem but all the programming codes make that near impossible to read!  Might want to repost a clear message so it can be read.  Unless I am the only one that has all that.

It's like a text book of coding!!

  • I had same thing when we started formula similac sensitive also..dr was not concerned as long as LO is not straining more than normal and not uncomfortable..ellas seemed slightly thicker than peanut butter sometimes a little sometimes a lot after a few weeks it went a little softer and bounces between greens and yellows
  • Yup. We switched from Similac to Enfamil and our son's poop went from a yellow color to dark green. Pedi said it's nothing to worry about.
  • When we switched from regular Similac to the ironfortified Similac, LO's poops became a lot less frequent, darker and sometimes greenish as well as more solid and pasty. He became more difficult to burp and became pretty fussy all day long. We decided to try the Similac Sensitive to Lactose formula and found that he became less fussy an started burping again. However, his poops are still the same...greenish, firmer, and still infrequent. I noticed LO's poop also changed at the same time I quit breast feeding so the lack of breast milk may be the cause behind all of the changes.

ETA: We initially thought the extra iron was causing the change but that must not be the case because the sensitive formula is iron fortified as well.
