For those of you who are staying at home, do you have any plan for how long you'll be doing it?
DH doesn't make that much money- enough for us to live on but nothing extra to really add to our savings. It sucks not having extra, but I know that I'll eventually go back to work and it's worth it to budget right now so I can stay home with DD. Then when I do go back, we still plan on sticking to the same budget and banking my paycheck for retirement and paying off the mortgage.
I'm working the month of July for the summer school program at the school I previously subbed at. I'm trying to keep my foot in the door there. I really want one of the nurses there to retire (2 are older but I don't know what their plans are and would never ask) and I would be first on the list for a FT position since I subbed.
Has anyone else thought about going back? Or are you just planning on SAH for awhile longer?
Re: SAHMs
This. Besides the crazy hours. I might think about it once kids are in school but until then we like it the way it is.
