teaching invertive WWY wear?

I have an interview right after school Friday.  I thought I'd wear my suit pants all day with a top, then change in the car into a different top and the jacket and my shoes, which would be a PIA, but  I don't want to walk out of school in a suit and people be asking where I'm going.  I was also thinking I could wear a dress.  I think that would be fine too, WWYD?

  • I always wear a suit with a skirt to interviews.  I change if need be in the car or in a bathroom close to an exit so I don't have to walk through the whole building.

I agree a skirt suit is better. Maybe you could wear the skirt with a blouse, cardigan and flats all day, then change to heels and add the jacket in the car. That way it won't necessarily look like half of a suit.

I too have changed in a bathroom and parked away from the main parking lot at my school when I had a couple of interviews.  IMO there's something refreshing about putting on a nice, new (at least clean) outfit too.  I feel better about myself and thus more confident.  I'd change somewhere if possible.

Once I even got coffee (and breath mints!!) and changed in a Starbucks bathroom on my way to an interview.

    Good luck!
