labor before c-section

Has anyone gone into labor before their scheduled csection? I have low amniotic fluid and baby is breech so I'm having a c-section. I'm freaking out that I'm not going to know if my water breaks due to the low fluid, and all of a sudden I'm going to be in labor and something is going to go wrong. With my 1st baby I didn't realize I was in labor and by the time I got to hospital I was already at a ten and I pushed once and DD was delivered. Since 2nd baby is breech I'm scared same thing is going to happen but obviously I wont be able to deliver. Am I freaking out over nothing? Talk me off the ledge! lol

I went into labour with DD 2 weeks before my scheduled cesarean. The hospital staff was very calming, I just went in, they confirmed that I was in labour, they stopped my contractions and prepped me for the OR. DD was delivered a few hours after I got to hospital !

Oh and DD was also breeched

Well first of all, calm down. It's not obvious you won't be able to deliver a breech baby. It can be done if it comes to that. Secondly, they can c/s you when you are progressed in labour. Thirdly, if you're afraid you're going to miss labour, can you ask for daily or every second day monitoring?

You will be ok.  As others stated, they can and will do a c/s during labor.  Quickly, at that!  People have given birth to breech babies naturally.  It's not that it can't happen.  I would just express your concerns to the doctor.  Relax and be in tune with your body's cues.  Your Dr. will probably monitor you more closely the further along you are.

Yes! I went into labor two days before my scheduled c-section... i called my OB when my contractions were 5 min apart.  Went into the hospital and checked to make sure that the c-section was the way they wanted to go... it was, so they prepped me for surgery

My water broke 2 days before my scheduled c-section, and I honestly didnt even get a chance to feel a contraction. I went to the ER because I couldnt reach my OB on the phone, and the nurses actually freaked me out telling me I was going to have a natural birth rather than my c-section. But I ended up with the c-sectioon a few hours later!

I was scheduled to have a CS on 10/16 because DD was breech, and then my water broke on 10/8.  I wasn't totally sure it had broken (it wasn't a big gush, more like a little leak).  I went to my regularly scheduled doctor's appointment at 2 PM and doctor confirmed that my water had broken and when she did the internal exam she said she felt body parts, so she sent me over to the hospital to check in immediately.  I was having contractions but couldn't feel them.  CS happened at 6 PM.
