I'm so worried once the baby is born that she's going to end up being a boy! I work customer service at babies r us so I hear those stories all the time! We did have the confirmed three white lines though, so I puts me at ease a little more.
I hear that does happen often, but I think each ultrasound we have puts me at easy. I can clearly see the cute little boy parts on both babies! It would shock me if we were going to have a girl after these ultrasounds lol but either way I would be happy.

Hahah me too! I'd be happy regardless, but I'm hesitant to make any purchases!
I wanted a boy so bad, but of course was happy with a little girl. But now that I have the thought in my head its a girl, I don't even want the chance of it being a boy. Hopefully our next ultrasound will put me more at ease!
I wasn't too worried about DD not being a girl. My mom however, was convinced that she would be a boy, even after two late ultrasounds confirmed, and wouldn't buy anything girly until after she was born.
I thought about it throughout DD's pregnancy and had them check at every chance. I'm more confident this time around, but I'll still ask them to recheck if I have a later ultrasound!

I think that when that happens a lot of time they didn't get a good look. Maybe I'm wrong. My OB was "very sure" it was a girl. She showed me the three lines and said "this is a girl, boys do not have this." So I'm just trying to go with it.

Our ultrasound had three clear white lines too, but sometimes it's in the back of my mind. The real estate agent we are using right now had it happen to her (a long time ago though) and was telling me all about it. She said they brought their son home in a dress lol. Luckily we have another ultrasound in about a month, so I'm sure they will reassure me haha.
I've worked as a hospital mother baby nurse for 8yrs and I've only run into two people who were surprised at birth that the u/s sex determination was wrong. I think it's one of those things you hear about a lot but in reality happen very rarely.

This is the exact reason I made my OB check every time he did an u/s. He thought it was silly but I was terrified. With this pregnancy, they were both spread eagle and you could tell they were all boy!
I am still sort of in shock that they said we are having another girl. The '3 white lines' didn't look like the 3 white lines that my other girls had. These looked like 3 bubbles, and they had little white dots in te center, and they made a piramid shape.
We don't have a reason for another ultrasound at this point, so unless we do a 4d one for fun, we just have to trust it! All the OWTs say boy, so honestly, because I don't quite buy the 'white lines' that we saw, if this baby does come out with a penis, I won't be shocked.

You are hilarious! But your description sounds like I would be doubting the girl guess too. DD had very clear, solid white lines. I'm interested in seeing what happens! If you have a pregnancy journal you should put this suspicion in it!

I feel the same way. We are having a girl and decided on a princess a theme. We already started decorating. I'd be upset if I brought a boy home to a princess room..
We are having another u/s next week and will confirm "girl" again. I am pretty sure we are going to be ok, but I have kinda decided that I probably will not open some of the girl items we have until she comes home.
I'm not concerned just because the tech was positive and she does it for a living. She said 99.9% sure, but obviously as a medical professional she can't say 100%.
We paid for a private ultrasound with the gender check guaranteed. When we went in the first time, they saw that there were two babies and said that they could tell that one was a boy, but couldn't tell what the other was. So we had to go back and get another ultrasound (free this time) and after about an hour of checking they saw that the other was a girl. I have the two ultrasounds that show what each are and my OBGYN's nurse (after seeing them) still said we shouldn't be surprised if both end up being girls because that's what happened to her... Oh and she said that private ultrasound places are supposed to be checking genders...
